Cradle to Career aspires that every Sonoma County child enters kindergarten ready to succeed, a predictor of academic achievement in the later grades. Optimal early childhood development, prenatal to age 5, is critical to school readiness, including early brain development, dental health, social emotional wellness, nurturing caregivers, and access to high quality early care and education. To achieve Goal 1, Cradle to Career leverages First 5 Sonoma County in their role as convener, funder, and capacity building agency supporting a broad network of early childhood providers and stakeholders.
